Kaariina Natalie Saarinen is furious that women are not able to hold themselves in high esteem.
“So many of us choose to sit in a household with our treasures hidden away in closets,” says
Kaariina, “for fear that we’re not good enough according to the male standard.” Kaariina sees
women all around her looking for the fierce face of a mother who can shake them from this
victimized view of the world. It is for this purpose that she is establishing The Hellin Foundation
-- dedicated to intervening, clearing, empowering, and educating young women around the world
who have been sexually abused. April 28 at Unity of Vancouver, Kaariina and her team of loving
warriors will be hosting I Choose Life!; a fun(d)raiser for the Hellin Foundation, and a
celebration of life in all its forms. I Choose Life! is a day of teachings, music, dance, and
delicious food.

The Carnival Band (Carnival - Mardi Grai Soul-Jazz-Blues)
