Event Archive - Late show:: Alaska, Exit Nation, Shady Mae

Thu. February 9th 2012 8:30 Railway Club (No Minors) 8:30
$8.00 at the door only.
Late show:

The Alaska -
From subtle beauty to explosive bombast, The Alaska explores a vast sonic spectrum with a precision and intention that is rarely found in modern rock music. The result is their forthcoming debut EP, Above and Below, on which dynamic guitar textures mix with ever shifting rhythms to create an aural assault that is soothing and abrasive in equal measure. A journey, from one extreme to the other, Above and Below, never forgets the beauty that lies in between.
Exit Nation -
Description:"Ya walk across the floor with a flower in your hand" meets "Janie's got a gun."
In essence: Hard rock with a subtle touch of Grunge, hint of Blues and heart notes of Progressive Rock, Garnished with metal and finally wrapped in a warm blanket of Classic Rock with a cool breeze of Modern Rock.
Shady Mae -
Get your foot a-stompin' with the southern rock & blues licks with a sweet slide to define "cool". A heavy fat-boosted bass line hypnotizes you down Route 66 with the smoky, gritty and sexy vocals of Mandy give it just enough to make you craving more.
Doors: 8:30 pm. $8
