Finally... 2 of Vancouver's most unique and respected artists bring their musical voodoo together for a sure-fire night of musical alchemy. After months and months and months of threatening to make it happen, Jess Hill and Jeff Younger have managed to find a night to make music together.

Jess Hill is a unique singer-songwriter risen from the talented denizens of East Vancouver. She is a storyteller whose delicately constructed lyrical worlds captivate, standing firmly with her blues-draped compositions. Since releasing her debut album Road in 2006, Jess Hill has been featured on CBC radio, performed at The Vancouver Folk Festival, Vancouver International Jazz Festival, Artswells, and numerous other festivals in BC, as well as becoming a much loved staple of the western Canadian music scene. Her second full length album Orchard, showcases Hill's signature sound but also shows her artistic growth by casting a more ethereal and fantasy-tuned mood over the entirety of the recording.

Winnipeg born, Vancouver based guitarist/composer Jeff Younger is one of the busiest, most interesting and original musicians in Canada. Prone to rampantly tasty guitaristic diversity, deadly serious compositional tendencies, and lawless sprees of sonic expressionism, he's been called "the mad scientist of the electric guitar" and "Vancouver's own Frank Zappa". A leading figure in Vancouver's creative music scene, renowned for a creative fearlessness and a highly developed personal voice, Younger is a prolific and award nominated bandleader, composer, instrumentalist and recording artist.

His modern jazz monster The Unsupervised was nominated for the 2011 Montreal International Jazz Festival's Grand Prix du Jazz and Galaxie Award for Composition. His most recent composition commission is from American choreographer Donald Sales, and follows up his work on the score for an epic full length work with Vancouver's Out Innerspace Dance Theatre. He was also handpicked by American composer John King to be the featured musical soloist for Ballet BC's 2011 production of Face to Face.
