Event Archive - Live On Brighton, Waiting for Sunday, The Velvet Chameleon

Tue. August 2nd 2011 8 PM Railway Club (No Minors) 8 PM
$8 at the door only.
Live on Brighton is a three piece Alt Rock band based out of Kelowna BC, but will is using this tour as an excuse to move to Toronto, and will be calling that their new home following the tour. They are a melody driven band that likes to cause a dance party. If the Foo Fighters Tour bus crashed into Weezers Tour bus, you would have something that sounds like Live on Brighton.
Vancouver-based Waiting For Sunday was founded by long time friends, Dan Hudson (Guitar/Vocals) and Matt Gauld (Lead Guitar). The instant musical chemistry they shared quickly developed into something unique and powerful. With the addition of Mircea Tracke (Bass), the necessary elements were in place.
Waiting For Sunday has a sound that echoes of their primary influences, City and the Colour, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Modest Mouse.
Wesley and Marcus of Velvet Chameleon met in high school in 1947. Then they rode on a dragon to outer space, where they met Adarsh. The trio have been working at Superstore ever since, where they report to floor manager Justin. We take bribes.

** Also, Rail Ale Tuesday: every Tuesday at 5 PM we offer a different cask of craft beer. This week's cask will be a fresh-hopped ESB from Granville Island Brewing.
