MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS A female post-punk band combining beautifully melancholic vocal melodies with clean yet bone-crushing instrumentation. Absolutely ferocious live performances that beg the question: is MOTFD the best female rock band in the world?

Sgt. One of Japan’s premiere post-rock/instrumental bands highlighted by Hitoshi Ono’s virtuosic drumming and Mikiko Narui’s elegantly haunting electric violin. Fans of toe, MONO and LITE should not miss the opportunity to see this immensely talented quartet.

uhnellys A noise-funk duo playing live music with no DJ or samples. They’ve collaborated and recorded songs with Canadian emcee and Polaris shortlist nominee SHAD. They’ve also toured and recorded with Brooklyn’s finest Mike Doughty (ex-Soul Coughing). As a band they are comparable to Grammy award winners the Roots… just as phenomenal on stage but with half the members, a more progressive/experimental sound and a much sexier drummer (sorry ?uestlove).

susquatch Smooth jazzy melodic pop punctuated by aggressive drumming and intricate twin guitars that give the music a forceful edge. Maps & Atlases, Them Roaring Twenties and Death Cab for Cutie are a few of their influences. Watching Maki Nakano’s powerfully adept drumming alone is worth the price of admission.
