RYAN KEATING & THE SONS OF KAIN - Profound, powerful, inspiring, insightful, memorable and always thought-provoking, Ryan Keating's songs take everyday thoughts, twisting and turning them into songs that beg to be heard over and over. A poet and a prophet of rock n' roll resurrection, his music is reminiscent of Johnny Cash backed up by the Heartbreakers or Jim Morrison backed up by the E Street Band, with a little help and the quiet influence of Neil Young and Crazy Horse. http://www.myspace.com/ryankeatingband

JORDAN CARRIER's blend of blistering rock and gorgeous acoustic songs has won him critical acclaim all over the province and opening spots for bands like Wide Mouth Mason, Loverboy and The Odds. The lead vocalist for popular local band COZYBONES, this talented singer/songwriter was a CFOX Vancouver Seeds 2008 winner. Currently performing in support of his latest solo CD "Absence of Wonder", his songs are catchy as hell, revealing a versatile musician who can swing effortlessly between dancy acoustic grooves, block-rocking beats, Motown guitar rock, Radiohead-ish melancholy, beautiful acoustic numbers and superb covers. http://www.myspace.com/JordanCarrier

COWBOYS AND INDIANS - Join one of Vancouver's newest folk rock country blues bands formed by Barnaby McRae, Daniel Huscroft & Ryan McAllister (former lead singer of the band Dakona) as they showcase tightly crafted Americana-roots style tunes for your drinkin' pleasure. Expect a full serving of timeless tales delivered with deeply emotive vocals soaked in Tennessee Whiskey and combined skillfully with steel & acoustic guitars and flourishes of harmonica that will transport you to a simpler time in the dusty past, a time of Cowboys and Indians. http://www.myspace.com/thecowboysandindiansband

The MATINEE is emerging as one of the West Coast's premier independent bands. Blending a passion for fine ale and finely crafted tunes, they offer a unique spin on a roots rock sound that is quickly attracting both national and international audiences. Writing songs that paint pictures of empty bottles and broken hearts, broken bottles and empty hearts, their collection of songs vividly comes to life. As they continue with their hard-nosed, DIY, blue collar work ethic, there is little doubt that this show is worth the price of admission. http://www.myspace.com/thematinee

Shoot out the lights, and stone the roses—there’s some strong autobiography going on between the lines of The Matinée’s debut full-length album, We Swore We’d See the Sunrise.
