The DREADNOUGHTS - Ball-busting Celt-punk from Vancouver's newest group of drunken misfits, with a shot of pirate-shanty, a shot of Irish melody and a triple-chaser of street punk. The result is a powerful live sound, with whirling fiddles, mandolins and accordions inviting you into a world of drink and debauchery. Imagine Rancid had their tour bus hijacked by a group of inebriated gypsies... and you're beginning to understand. Be sure to come out and catch these young up-and-comers who opened for The Real McKenzies! http://www.myspace.com/vancitydreadnoughts

THE FEMINISTS are an energetic, engaging combination of angelic vocals along with jangle-punk guitar and driving, emotive keyboards, The Feminists bring together a powerful combination of unpredictable, loud, and exciting sound. Jet engine chaos is instantly replaced by fragile, delicate beauty before leaping back to frenzied distortion: power-pop meets art-rock meets psychedelia meets emo-core. One of Vancouver's hardest working indie bands, The Feminists have charted on college stations from Nanaimo to Halifax, toured across Canada without an agent, manager or record label support, opening for bands like The Weakerthans and NoMeansNo. http://www.thefeminists.net

DAWNTREADER writes music that is full of unbridled sincerity and ambition. Their expressive, emotionally-charged song-writing traverses much terrain, from propulsive beats and grinding guitars to dreamy atmospheric passages and hypnotic melodies. http://www.dawntreader.ca

The R.A.F. - Founded with the desire "to kick some ass and not be acoustic singer-songwriters, The R.A.F. has culled together their own unique British & great songwriter influenced rock'n'roll style. Inspired by great rock music created by the likes of Rory Gallagher, U2, Radiohead, Wilco, Pink Floyd, The Clash, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson, and more, the five man band delivers in equal turn, cool vibes and raucous rock that will keep you euphorically engaged. http://www.myspace.com/rafband
