MANI KHAIRA's pop-rock power pop combined with his moody vocals and piano playing have earned him opening spots for John Mayer, Kristy Thirsk and Marcy's Playground. His captivating piano melodies and powerful vocals have no comparison and his music is fresh, striking, and genuine. Having spent the past two years performing in the Toronto music circuit and recording a full-length studio album, Mani is now adding the finishing touches in Paris. Don't miss this rare chance to catch Mani back in his hometown! http://www.myspace.com/manikhaira

WINDOWS '78 dynamically explore a unique fusion of moody, guitar-driven rock and ambient electronica, delivering an innovative sound that appeals equally to humans, Martians and robots. Described as "somewhere between Spiritualized and Pink Floyd" (The Province) and "a new successor to the mantle of melancholy modern rock" (Prairie Dog), their CD "The Window Seat" showcases the premier space rock act as they craft a rich, evocative sound that weaves together melodic guitar lines, subtly deployed electronic loops and masterful playing. http://www.windows78.com

LISA JOYCE PARRY's stripped down approach has it's roots in her love of Beat poetry, Mod music & fashion, old school country crooners, kick-ass rhythm & blues, psychedelic rock, and all things East Van! Mixed with her love of vintage guitars, red wine, kitty cats, Morocco, India & pretty dresses, her style approaches an emotionally charged, uniquely Mod-styled White Stripes vibed style, that she can call her own. http://www.myspace.com/lisalalapo

STEVE RIO is a talented local guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and producer who has been involved with music since the age of 12, playing in almost every type of project imaginable including local alt-punk band ODESSA. His most recent CD release, "Hallucinations" is an expansive genre-bending work that features straight-up indie rock along with dark experimental tracks, roots and electronic sounds, twisting through genres while guided by Rio's honest lyrics and confident but understated vocal approach. http://www.steverio.ca

windows78 (Space Rock)

In came a new kind of sound. A new style that is neither totally new nor super stylish, but a fresh and listenable sound nonetheless. Perhaps a soundscape for the robots on Mars. Perhaps a hallucinatory trip through the phones. Perhaps four fellas and four middle names all the same. Retro electronica and laptop beats. Guitars that swoon, sweep and ... more info
