Noise Control is a music project from Vancouver, BC with Reggie Hache at the helm.
Having played with several original and cover bands Reggie Hache has gained experience as a bass player/singer both on stage and in the studio. His main preference has always been in the rock genre but working with various bands exposed him to many different music styles which helped him become a better performer. As a hired musician he played bass and sang on projects that went from blues (Riot and the Blues Devils), to progressive alternative rock (FruXure, Tripfuse) and even speed metal (Death Assembly). As a young musician he played in a jazz band formed by his music teacher. In addition to his studio experience Hache has toured across Canada and played extensively in the Montreal and Vancouver area.
In the early 1990s he helped form the Rush tribute band Force Ten where he learned to play keyboard (while still playing bass and singing) and program a sequencer which gave him an in-depth knowledge of the MIDI system. The band toured around the province of Quebec, New Brunswick, Ontario and the State of New York. Peter Marunzak (Luba's Drummer in the 80's) saw Force Ten in concert, and asked Hache to sing for a series of Learn to play Rush tutorials. During that time he was also part of the now defunct Montreal band Stone Hawks that wrote their own music and received eastern video-play on MusiquePlus (French version of MuchMusic) for the song Desert Roads.
During the mid 2000s, after several years of playing other people's music and trying to find the right musicians for a new original band, Hache decided to compose and write on his own for the first time. In the past he had always co-wrote with his band members. It took him a few years to become comfortable with songwriting as a solo artist and by that time he was ready to record and release his first EP The Room At The End Of The Hall with his project Noise Control. The format of Noise Control was a power trio consisting of Hache himself on bass and vocals with hired musicians on both guitar and drums. While recording the first EP Hache hired Chris Robertson on guitar and the well known Vancouver session drummer Kelly Stodola. For the live performances he will be joined by Tom Lawreszuk on guitar (who has played with Black Powder Toys, Pockets Of Society, and The Burn Project) and on drums the winner of the 2013 Roland V-Drums World Championship Issah Contractor.
Recently he's been back in his home studio composing new songs in preparation of a new CD for 2014. The new songs so far have been featuring synthesizers to create new textures and expand the atmosphere of his music even further. On top of that Hache is also using his 7 string guitar and 5 string bass to expand the range of his sound. He knows the new direction will be different from the first EP but in his opinion it will be more focused on using a variety of music influences that shaped the musician that he is today.
